Features of FormsDesigner
THE INTELLIGENT REFLOW works to readjust your layout as you insert or delete parts of the form. This powerful reflow is just one of the many features created by Techway Solutions╒ programmers to make designing and editing forms easy. It also ensures the layout will be clear for users of the form to follow, and will make the best use of the space available.
AUTOMATIC NUMBERING occurs when you create numbered questions. As you add or delete questions FormsDesigner will automatically renumber them.
THE INTELLIGENT TOOLBOX gives you the power to create both simple and complex forms quickly and easily. All you have to do is insert the appropriate tool into an available position on the form. FormsDesigner tools are unique. When you use them to build your form, the tool is programmed to apply the best rules of layout and typography in that context.
ADDING TEXT to a form has never been so easy. You can create titles, captions, headings, questions and instructions in the right place and with appropriate font sizes and styles.
THE TABLE TOOL is a special feature of FormsDesigner which enables you to easily create complex tables with numerous levels of headings and sub-headings.
CONSISTENT LAYOUT is maintained whenever you change the size of an answer space or add something to a particular cell in your table. Once you have decided on character and line spacing FormsDesigner automatically adjusts sizes throughout the form to give a consistent layout.
CHANGING THE WAY THINGS LOOK is possible through a menu that knows which part of the form you have selected. You can change line thickness, style of text, caption position, layout, and type of answer space. You can either make changes to the whole form or just to the part you have selected.
RESEARCH ON GOOD FORMS DESIGN conducted by the Communication Research Institute of Australia is built into the software. Included in the package is the Guide to Good Forms╤a text book on effective forms design╤to help you achieve optimum results with this package.
FORM FILLING OPTIONS let you adjust spacing and layout dependent on whether the form is to be filled in by hand, typewriter or wordprocessor.
CLEVER COLOUR SELECTOR helps you to choose the right colours and tints for elements such as line, text, answer space and background.
ALTERNATIVE PRINTING OPTIONS allow you to print either a composite proof or layers with crop and registration marks. When preparing artwork you can create colour separations as masks or tints, and output to imagesetter by choosing the Bromide option, which makes automatic adjustments to the screen density settings.

System configuration
FormsDesigner runs on any Apple Macintosh. We recommend a minimum 4MB of memory and a hard disk. FormsDesigner requires System version 6.0.4 and Finder Version 6.1 or higher (including System 7).
FormsDesigner Makes use of selected colours available on Apple colour monitors.
